Larry Steve Deason

Larry Steve Deason passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.   He was born September 27, 1947 to Clanton Joseph and Viola Phillips Deason, who preceded him in death.  He was also preceded in death by his brother, Teddy Austin Deason.  He is survived by his wife, Karen Thomason Deason; daughter, Stacey Smith (Jonathan); two grandchildren, Steven Austin Deason and Callie Elisabeth Smith; sister-in-law, Ginger Deason; and nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends as well as his fur “kids” Molly and Ollie.  Steve was an avid Alabama fan.  He retired from Food World and was a member of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.  Steve was a simple man who will be missed greatly by his family. Visitation will be Friday, May 20, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
