James Esters Flowers Sr.

Mr. James Esters Flowers Sr. of Fultondale, AL went to be with his Lord and Savior at the age of eighty-one, on September 19th, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family.

James was a proud man, proud of his service to his country and proud of each of his children.  He spent every weekend while his children were growing up, on the go and doing something as a family. It was perfectly normal after a long work week to leave on Friday afternoon to go fishing on his house boat and not return home until Sunday evening, but he truly loved and cherished spending time with his family. James also enjoyed spending time in the garden or going to yard sales when the opportunity presented itself.

Mr. Flowers is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years; Bertha R. Flowers, daughter; Gloria Watts (Lonnie), son; James Flowers Jr. (Sherry), son; William Flowers (Becky), daughter; Melissa Harding, and daughter; Brittany Warren, as well as eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, one brother; Algie Willette, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services for Mr. Flowers with be held at Walker Chapel Funeral Home on Friday, September 21st, 2018, at two o’clock with visitation starting one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens with the Brother Guy Moore officiating.
