Gary Allen “Skip” Wick, II

Gary Allen “Skip” Wick, II went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, December 19, 2022 at age 49.  He is survived by his wife, Christie Oldfield Wick; two children, Bailey Nicole Wick and Tucker Allen Wick; mother, Peggy Wick; sister, Shannon Davis (Ricky); mother-in-law, Judy McAnnally (Don); brother-in-law, James Oldfield (Jessica); nieces and nephews, Marley, Emerson, William, Weston, and Wyatt; and other extended family and friends.  Skip was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wick and his grandparents on both sides.  Skip was a 1992 graduate of Gardendale High School. He was an active member of Church of the Highlands Fultondale Campus. He worked at Hurst Towing as Operations Manager. Skip had a heart for outreach ministries and helping others in any way he could.  If you called him, he was there.  He was an avid outdoorsman and sports enthusiast. He loved his family.  He was the best dad, husband, son and brother.  Above all, he loved his Savior, Jesus Christ and his greatest desire was that all people would know him.  A Celebration of Life Service will the held at Church of the Highlands Fultondale Campus on Friday, December 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Outdoor Ability Foundation. www.outdoorabilityfoundation.com
