Roy Benson Brashier

Roy Benson Brashier, age 76 of Fultondale, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2017. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Broome; parents, Fabian and Olivia Brashier; brother, Ed Brashier. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from Carraway Methodist Medical Center after many years of service. He served several years as President of the National Association of Institutional Linen Management (NAILM). He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Gurvis Brashier; children, Danny Brashier (Ann), Sandi Lovett (Brook), Shelley Walters (Kevin), Jerry Wilbert (Kristi); 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; brother, John Brashier (Debbie); sister-in-law, Mary Brashier; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Alexander and Rev. Brook Lovett officiating. Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
