James Mount Pursifull

James Mount Pursifull known to all as “Jim” parted to heaven the evening of March 13, 2018 in the home of his son Mark. Jim was born in Birmingham Alabama in 1940 and went to Southeastern Bible college where he met his wife Sybil of 53 years.  He was a loving father and a leader to many. He spent almost 50 years serving in Mexico as a missionary. He was a minister over 57 years. He was a spiritual father to many pastors and he started dozens of churches throughout Mexico. His life touched literally thousands and many we are sure were waiting to meet him in heaven. His last church home was Ashville Church of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Jack and Joe along with his wife Sybil and his son Stephen. Those that will miss him include his sister Rena and her family, his sons Mark, David, Danny, James, and Jope along with their families, his daughter Amy and her family, his 30 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, along with so many others whose lives he touched both in Mexico, USA, and around the world.

Funeral service will be held at Walker Chapel funeral home in Fultondale Alabama Sunday March 18, 2018. Viewing will begin at 2:00 pm and the funeral service will be at 3:00 pm.
