Wanda Mechelle White

Wanda White passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at age 48.  She is survived by six children, Jacob McCurry (Stephanie), Cody McCurry (Destiny) , Briana Haynie (Tyler Camp), Dakota White (Ashley), Zoie Richards, and Emma White; mother, Paula Peoples; two sisters, Charlotte Banks (Paul) and Hope Cochran (Steve); grandchildren, Hunter, Bentley, Sadie, Jaxen, Scarlett, Olivia and Sophia; nephews and niece, Josh, Isaac and Kallee; husband, Kevin Stallings; stepdaughter, Heaven Stallings; step granddaughter, Bellamy; and other extended family and friends.  Wanda was preceded in death by her father, Roger White.  She was Store Manager of Dollar General at New Castle.  Wanda was also a volunteer firefighter at Glennwood Fire and Rescue and held many certifications of which she was very proud.  She had a firecracker personality and was the heart of her family.  She was the “cool” aunt who was never judgmental.  Her children and grandchildren adored her and her passing will leave a loss in their lives forever. She was obsessed with baby Yoda and instructions have been left that her baby Yoda is to go with her.  She loved fishing with her dad, and oh what a time they are probably having today.  Visitation will be Monday, May 1, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
