Terry Rogers

Terry Rogers went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at age 56.  He is survived by his mother, Margie Wooten; four brothers, Bobby Rogers (Teresa), Allen Rogers (Anita), Chris Rogers (Rebecca Langley) and Kenneth Rogers (Stephanie); one sister, KarenAnn Owen; several nieces and nephews; and other extended family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father, Malcolm Rogers; and one brother, Frankie Rogers.  Terry attended Opportunity Center School in Homewood and graduated from Gardendale High School Special Education.  He also attended Friendship Community Church which he enjoyed very much.  He was a member of Good Neighbors sponsored by Huffman United Methodist Church.  Terry enjoyed coloring books, shopping at Foodland with Mother, and playing piano and guitar.  The family wishes to express their appreciation for Hope Hospice, Dr. Doug Alford and nurses: Rebecca, Tabatha, Karen, Katie, Shana, and Trish. Visitation will be Friday, December 22, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
