Sarah Mueller Obituary

She was named after one of her mother's favorite teachers.  She was the only child of the late George Mueller, who died when Sarah was 14, and the late Pearl Pyron Mueller.  She graduated from Woodlawn High in '53.  She graduated from Birmingham Southern College and University of Montevallo.
She taught for 36 years in the Jefferson County school system.  All her years were taught at Gardendale Junior/High School.  In her 25th year, Sarah was Teacher of the Year and the Rendezvous Annual was dedicated to her.  It was kind of fitting for her to go to Jesus on Mother's Day, she was a type of Mother to all her students.  If you needed a hair pin, safety pin, band aid, shoe string, etc..she had it.  Her advice door was always open.  A definite one of a kind!  Her students loved her more than she knew.  On her 85th birthday, she received 109 birthday cards!  Thanks Sarah for all the memories and the many years of caring for us all.  Your love for each of us will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her dearest and closest friend, whom she loved very much, Johnny Armstrong (North Carolina), cousin Patricia Pyron Hudson (Florida) and special caring friends Jonathan Harrison and Melissa Linton Stephens.
