Rosie Ann (Shaver) Pennington

Rosie Pennington is now reunited in Heaven with her husband of 63 years, Travis Pennington.  She is also preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Thomas; great granddaughter, Jordan Thomas; parents, Charlie Jackson and Ophelia Shaver; brother, C. J. Shaver, Jr.; sister-in-law, Linda Shaver; and two sons-in-law, LaWayne Thomas and Charles Oswalt.  She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Oswalt Dunn (James); son, Terry Pennington; grandchildren, Joseph Thomas (Christie), Amelia Hicks (Tommy), Angie Schottmann (Achim), and Kelsey Maddox (Danny); several great and great great grandchildren; one brother, Lonnie Shaver; and many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.  Rosie was considered Nanny by everyone.  She loved her family and friends and there will be such a loss in their hearts as they await the time they will see her again.  She was a member of Kimberly First Baptist Church.  Visitation will be Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Friday, May 5, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Entombment will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
