Rita Allred went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 15, 2021 at age 68. She is survived by two children, Cheri Allred and Drenda Holcomb; four grandchildren, Brittney, Kendall, Josh and James; four great grandchildren, Patience, Karisma, Autumn, and Bailey; parents, Virginia and Jimmie Beasley; three sisters, Anita Salters, Nelda Johnson (Terry) and Tammy Alexander; two brothers, Charlie Beasley (Christy) and Jimmie Beasley, Jr (Shellie); and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, James Gurley Allred; her father, James R. Aycock; and her sister, Donna Aycock. Rita was a wonderful mother who loved her children and her laughter lit up a room. She loved going to church, going on cruises, and Elvis Presley. Visitation will be Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be at Blair Methodist Church Cemetery in Cullman County.
