Ricky Calvin Wood

Ricky Calvin Wood , age 68, went home to be with the Lord on March 23, 2021.  Ricky was born and raised in Coalburg, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father Calvin Wood and his mother Sylvia Azaline Millican, as well as his sister Carol June Wood. Ricky was a kind and Godly man who cared very deeply for his family and friends.

Ricky is survived by his four sisters, Brenda Speegle (Richard), Norma Jean Wiggins, Janice Whisenant, Wanda Jenkins (Randy) and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday March 27, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Coalburg Independent Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday. He will be laid to rest at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
