Peggy Jean Barnett Wood

Peggy Jean Barnett Wood passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025 at age 71.  She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Danny Wood; two sons, Tony Wood and Donny Wood (Stacy); grandchildren, Courtney Wood Cox (Craig), Dalton Wood (Sarah), and Breagan Wood (Tucker Cassidy); great grandchildren, Ryker Cox, Hudson Wood, and Raelynn Wood; one sister, Linda McCurry (Arly); and other extended family and friends.  Peggy was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Carly Abigail Wood; her parents, Jack and Mabel Barnett; and her siblings, Roger Barnett, John Barnett, Jackie Barnett, and Annie Barnett.  She was a devoted wife and was the backbone of her family.  She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family will miss her.  A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
