Oneas (Overton) Cox

Oneas Cox passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the age of 87.  She is survived by three daughters, Sherry Knight (Randy), Gaynell Porter (Wayne), and Deneas Jacquemin; stepson, Adam Cox; daughter-in-law, Shelly Martin; seven grandchildren, Jessie, Kevin, Kaylee, Amanda, Justin, Randi Jean, and Brittany; twelve great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.  Oneas was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cox; her son, Dwayne Martin; her parents, Richard and Stella Overton; and her two brothers, Frank and Arthur Overton.  She always loved cooking for her family and having them all together.  She was loved by her family and will be missed by them.  The visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
