Mike Marlow

Mike Marlow, age 78 of Gardendale, passed away on Saturday August 10, 2019.  He was a faithful former member of First Baptist Church Grayson Valley where he was instrumental in the construction of the church and a faithful member of Gardendale Church of the Nazarene.  He retired from the City of Birmingham and Birmingham Fire and Rescue after 20 years of service.  He enjoyed restoring classic vehicles and loved Alabama Football.  Mike loved his family and friends with all his heart.

Mr. Marlow is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Diane Marlow; son, Scott Marlow; grandson, Chapman Marlow; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Nichols officiating.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
