Michael Harold Hughes

Michael Hughes passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at age 63.  He is survived by six children, Amber Tidwell (Robert McCuistion), Adam Hughes (Amanda), Aaron Hughes (Patty), Austin Hughes, Andrea Hughes, and Tori Denney; thirteen grandchildren, Alexis, Gabriell, Dakota, Rylan, Logan, Lily, Zane, Bryce, Emory, Kingsley, Layla Kay, Riley, and Bridgett; one sister, Kathy Hughes Butler (David); and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.  Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Jones and Joy Hughes and two brothers, Scott and Mark Hughes.  He loved his family and made a big impact on the kids.  He helped everyone he came across that needed help.  He had such a big heart that he would give a stranger a place to stay if needed.  He will be missed everyday.  Visitation will be Monday, December 20, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.  Burial will be at Liberty Minter Cemetery in Kimberly, AL.
