Melba Chandler Curry

Melba Chandler Curry passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.  She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Troy Curry; four children, Greg Curry (Candee Hart), Donna Phillips (Rick), Terri Robnett, and Darby Esquenazi; four grandchildren, Crystal Jackson (Wil), Jason Robnett, Jessica Vernon (Tucker) and Elise Esquenazi; two great grandchildren, Riley and Kilean; and one nephew, Johnny Chandler.  Melba was preceded in death by her brother, Wilburn Chandler.  Troy referred to Melba as his bride up until the very last day.  Her smile would light up the room.  She was a great cook and she loved country music!  She will be missed everyday by her family.  Visitation will be Monday, November 14, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Melba will be laid to rest at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL at 2:00 p.m.  No service will be held at the cemetery.
