Margie Faye Payton

Margie Faye Payton passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at age 81.  She is survived by her two daughters, Roxanne Turner and Annette Griffith (Randy); four grandchildren, Tyler Turner, Tabbitha James (Kyle), Teran Turner (Macie), and Zachary Griffith (Kelsey); five great grandchildren, Destiney Turner, Serenity Turner, Gabrielle Turner, Memphis James and Kelham Griffith; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and other extended family and friends.  Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Payton; her parents Rector and Clara Chapman; and her siblings, Dorothy Moore, Gene Chapman, Dennis Chapman, Billy Chapman and Frankie Chapman. She loved to crochet, quilt, eat ice cream, and most of all love on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Margie will be laid to rest by Billy in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
