Margaret Joyce Smith

Margaret Smith went to be with Lord on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at age 79. She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Winfred Smith; parents, Melvin and Florence Coleman; sister, Sylvia Ivey; brothers, Earl and Clark Coleman (Beverly). Margaret is survived by her children, Marc Culver (Tracy) and Kristi Mitchell (Michael); granddaughters, Madison (Mason), Savanna, Maggie and Karoline; great granddaughter, Murphy; sister, Carol Thornell; brother, Philip Coleman (Sharon); sister-in-law, Frances Coleman; lifelong friend and sister by choice, Diane Smith; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends. She was a member of Sharon Heights Baptist Church. Margaret loved Jesus and her family. She was a generous soul who was always willing to help. She was funny and kept her family laughing. She will be missed everyday but her family looks forward to the day they will see her again. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Margaret will be laid to rest in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens between her precious mother and husband.
