Leon Hogeland

Leon Hogeland, age 88 of Gardendale, passed away on Saturday June 6, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Jo Ann Hogeland.  He served our country during Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army.  He attended Fieldstown Church of God.  Leon loved God, reading his bible, and working in his yard.  Jo Ann used to say he was “so Heavenly minded he was no earthly good.”  He was an assembly line worker for Constar for 17 years.

Leon is survived by his daughter, Terri Greene (Bobby); granddaughter, Savannah; sister, Lena Rhoades; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. William Russell officiating.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
