Lavera Reed

Lavera Reed went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at age 96.  She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Reed; two grandchildren, Shannon Phillips (Doug) and Cody Reed (Amanda); great grandchildren, Jessie, Haley, Austin, Molly, Tana; one brother, Clarence Abney (Fay); bonus daughter, Teresa  Murray; and nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.  Lavera Reed was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Paul Reed; her son, Paul Allen Reed; and her granddaughters, Cindy Rowell and April Reed.  She was a member of The Cross at Clay Baptist Church.  She loved being a mother and grandmother but most of all she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ.  Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
