Judy Marie Uptain

Judy Marie Uptain, born July 16, 1948, was called home on July 17, 2022 to be reunited in Heaven with her momma, Ruby Cummings; her husband, “Whitey” Uptain; her sisters, Betty Martin and Patricia Latham; and her nieces Kelly Martin and Tammy Tippet.  She was greeted by so many others who have waited patiently to wrap their arms around her and to welcome her into God’s Kingdom.  We thank the Lord for the time we were blessed with her and for the impression she left on our hearts and character. Judy temporarily leaves behind her only daughter, Cindy Majors; her granddaughters, Monica (Keon Washington), Mindy (Wes Griffin) and Michelle Majors; her great grandchildren: Travis Barnett; Kaylea, Derrick and David Griffin; Zayden and Nevaeh Green; Kaiden and Keon Washington Jr.; her brother, Jerry Cummings; and cousins, nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends that she loved wholeheartedly.  She will be missed dearly on earth and will be waiting in Heaven to greet us with her warm smile and loving arms.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and will hold a Celebration of Life Service at 3:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home.
