Joyce Ellen Rockett

Joyce Ellen Rockett, a spirited and remarkable woman, passed away on August 21, 2024, and is now in heaven with her Savior, Jesus. Born on December 6, 1943, Joyce lived a life marked by a fiery personality with a sass-packed attitude to back it up that always inspired everyone around her. She has reunited with her husband of 31 years, Larry Rockett. 

Her life was defined by her direct wisdom and the tough love she offered, always teaching those she loved how to navigate the world with resilience and truth. Joyce’s legacy lives on through her faithful, furry companion, Gabby, and her children: daughters—Sonja Bryars (David) and Wendy Eichelberger (Scott) and sons—Chris Bolen (Cindy) and Scott Rockett (Amy). She is also remembered fondly by her grandchildren, Taylor Wellborn (Rachel), Bailey Whisenant (Trey), Kristen Rockett, Courtney Finnen (Garrett), and JB, as well as her six great-grandchildren—Caysen, Maddox, Kynleigh, Jace, Sawyer, and Stella.

Joyce’s impact on her family and friends will be cherished and remembered with love and gratitude. Her indomitable spirit and heartfelt lessons will continue to resonate with all who knew her.

The immediate family will be holding a private memorial for Joyce and Larry at a later date.
