Joyce Ann Brooks

Joyce Brooks gained her wings on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at age 80.  She is survived by two children, Rhonda A. Meadows (Mike) of Wilsonville and Rick Bailey of Birmingham; four grandchildren, Kayla Milam (Tim), Lauren Bailey, Madison Bailey, and Hunter Meadows; great grandchildren, Zach, Elana, Aleigha, Paisley, Noah, Denaris, and Trenton Dean; brothers, Donald Gene Oliver (Ann) and Charles Oliver; sister, Mary Christine Wehby; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.  Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Sam D. Brooks, her parents, and several siblings.  She retired from the printing industry after many years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be Monday, October 3, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  She will be laid to rest by her husband in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
