John Carter Hudson

Carter “Pop” Hudson passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at age 88.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Peggy Hudson; his brother, Bill Hudson; and  his sister, Dolphine Bullard and nephew, Scott Ellington.  He is survived by his daughter, Belinda Hudson Lawrence; grandson, Blake Hudson (Leah); great grandchildren, Milo and Evie; special nieces, Belinda Dove and Connie Wyatt; special sister-in-law, Ann Woodruff; and other extended family and friends.  Carter proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 255 in Fultondale.  He was an avid race fan, fisherman, and loved riding motorcycles.  He loved his family and his grandchildren were his world.  He will be missed dearly.  The family will receive friends on Friday, May 30, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. with the burial to follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
