Janet Sue (Bland) Byram

Janet Sue Bland Byram (August 26, 1954 – January 28, 2026), a native of Cullman, Alabama, resided in Gardendale for most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Floyd and Era Bland; her brothers, James Bland and Paul Bland; son in law Sanford Herron, and her beloved husband, Danny Byram. 

She was survived by her brothers Neal (Patricia) Bland, Ron (Eleanor) Bland, and her sister Nancy (David) Creel. 

She leaves behind her daughters, Leigh Ann  Herron and Sandi Jo (Jason) Allen.

Janet was blessed with loving grandchildren, Emily (Alex) King, Justin (Darian) Greer, Joshua Greer, Preston Rhoades, and Shelby McConnell. She also cherished her great-grandchildren, Mila, Austin, and Jace Greer.

Janet loved babies and cats, flowers and the ocean. She was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan and never missed a game.

Most of all, Janet loved Jesus. She shared her faith by teaching others through Sunday School and Awana and lived her life rooted in love and service.

Ms. Byram’s visitation will be held on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. service at Walker Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Center Hill  Baptist Church in Cullman County.
