James Wiley Parsons, Jr.

James “Jim” Wiley Parsons, Jr. passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at age 69.  He is survived by his wife, Anita Edwards; children, Heather Underwood (Sam), Christy Sanders (Michael), Melinda Jones (Alan), Brooke Hudson (Lee), Robin Hyatt, and Jean Cox; nineteen grandchildren; two sisters, Susan Romine (Michael) and Lisa Wilborn (Rick); special friend, Stephanie Robertson; many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Kaye Parsons and his parents, James & Lelia Parsons.  James retired from Birmingham Police Department after 20 years of service.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside to follow at 2:00 p.m. in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
