Jacqueline "Jackie" Barr Smith

Jacquellne "Jackie" Barr Smith, 85, of Gardendale went to be with her heavenly Father on January 10, 2025.

She is preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Ethel Barr, brother David Barr, and daughter Debra Smith Johnson.

She will be missed by her daughter, Sandy Smith Weeks; brother, Bob Barr (Shirley); grandchildren: Dana Johnson Morring (Jaren), Lauren Weeks, and Britt Johnson; niece, DeAnna Mayfield (Andy), and seven great granddaughters whom she loved dearly.

Jackie was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. She faithfully attended the Senior Adults Worship on Wednesdays. When her health prevented her from physically attending church, she watched online. She never missed a service.

A special thank you for the excellent care she received by Affinity Hospice (especially Amanda K, Amanda C, Jessica and Trent) and her caregivers Jessi G and Rebecca M. Thank you all for your love and compassion.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Gardendale First Baptist Church at the South Campus in Fellowship Hall B; 940 Main Street, Gardendale, AL 35071. Brother Ricky Thacker will be officiating.
