Hollis H. Walker

Hollis H. Walker, age 83 of Fultondale, passed away on Friday June 5, 2020.  He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry L. Walker and Milton Walker and by a sister, Mary Lou Waldrop.  He served our country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force retiring as a Tech Sargent.  After his military career he worked at Baker Dairy (now Barber’s).  He attended Lee’s Chapel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sandra Walker; sons, Darrel Walker (Karen), Hollis Walker (Leann), and Randall Walker (Barbara); daughter, Debra Lynn Vest; grandchildren, Josh Walker, Christa Littrell, David Walker, Brandon Walker, Drew Walker, Katelyn Walker and Lindsey Walker; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Freeman and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Pschirer officiating.  Interment will follow at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
