Gwen McWhorter

Gwen McWhorter, age 71 of Gardendale, passed away on Friday January 8, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ray McWhorter.  She loved her fur babies.  

She is survived by her step-son, Scott McWhorter (Ann Marie); granddaughter, Bailee McWhorter; sister, Carolyn Fowler; nieces and nephews, Debbie, Sunny, Eddie, Jean, Janie, and James.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday January 12, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the family receiving friends 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will be at Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Arab on Thursday.  There will be no graveside services.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
