Grace Elizabeth (Poe) Dove

Grace Poe Dove was born January 10, 1943 and passed away on December 31, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Thomas Dove, Sr.; her parents, Harry and Lala Poe; son, Walter Thomas Dove, Jr.; brother, Chester Poe; and sister, Shirley Smelley.  She is survived by her twin sons, Van Stephen Dove, Sr. (Coleeta) and Dan Stanley Dove (Donna); grandchildren, Van Stephen Dove, Jr. (Angela),  Shanna Lynn Morgan (Wesley), Niki Starnes (Samuel), Elizabeth Jones (Keith), Matthew Dove, and Jake Dove; 11 great grandchildren; and her sisters - Bea Hovies, Pat Varden, and Melanie Adams.  As a Christian woman, she was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Vance, Alabama.  After 32 years, she retired from working in the Bakery and Floral Department, at various locations for FoodWorld. Not only will she always be remembered as a caring sister, but also she will forever be remembered as a devoted and loving mother to her sons…. A mother that always found time to cheer them on at any event and support them in anything they chose to do in life. She will be greatly missed.  A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens on Monday, January 3, 2022.
