Gordon Larry Stephens

*** SERVICE RESCHEDULED FOR 1/18/25***Gordon Larry Stephens, 71, of Mount Olive, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2024.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.  Gordon was a retired nurse.  He also worked as a worship minister for several different churches over the years.  Most recently he was the pianist at Coalburg Independent Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joan Stephens; parents, Lionel and Annie Stephens; and four siblings.  He is survived by his  children, Grace and Josey; brothers, Reggie Stephens (Sharon), Pete Stephens (Laura); one sister Gay Arwood; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family and friends.  Gordon was loved and will be missed by all that knew him.   There will be a memorial service at Walker Chapel Funeral Home, Fultondale, AL on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 18, 2025.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
