Glenn Edward Black, Sr.

Glenn Edward Black, Sr. went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at age 79.  He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Gladys Black; two children, Glenda Tippett (Jason) and Glenn Black, Jr. (Melissa); grandchildren, Stacey Biester (Eric), Stephen Clark (Ashley), Dustin Black (Britini), Michael Black (Brianna), and Tyler Black; great grandchildren, Caleb Biester, Jacob Biester, Eli Biester, Brodie Black, Cooper Black, and Harper Clark; and other extended family and friends.  Glenn was a member of ChristWay Church in Gardendale.  He loved fishing, camping, colleges sports and Alabama football.  Most of all he loved his family.  He adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved life at the river and would have moved there if he could.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be Friday, March 17, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  There will be no graveside service.
