Geraldine Laney Holder

Geraldine Holder went to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at the age of 86.  She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda Jo Richie and Yvonne Bevis; three grandchildren, Stephanie Sprouse (James), Brian Bevis (Crystal), and Jessica LaRue (Tommy); five great grandchildren, Samantha Sprouse, William Sprouse, Matthew Bevis Rigsby, Jewel Hubbard, and Parker LaRue; three brothers, Phillip Laney (Betty), Wayne Laney (Carol) and Kenneth Laney (Susan); two sisters, Clovis Laney and Sue Laney; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.  Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents, Onan and Pauline Laney; one brother, Luther Laney; and her son-in-law, Barry Bevis.  She retired from Ketona Nursing Home where she worked as a nurse’s aide and she loved her patients so well, she would use her own resources to care for their needs. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Gardendale Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
