Geraldine Hayes

Geraldine Hayes, age 81, passed away on New Years Day, January 1, 2024.  She is survived by two sons, Ronnie “Midget” Hayes and Terry Hayes (Karen); twelve grandchildren, Susan, Joey, Cassey, Dexter, Ashley, Jessica, Amanda, Jonathan, Kendall, Wendy, Valerie and Kimberly; ten great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; one sister, Patsy Haynes and one brother, Danny Wood (Peggy); and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.  Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Hayes; three sons, Leslie, Thomas and William Hayes; one daughter, Gladys Hayes; two grandsons, Adam and Gregory; her parents, Carl and Frances Wood; and eight siblings.  She was a great cook.  She was very independent and loved taking care of her family.  Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with burial to follow in Walker Chapel Cemetery.
