While living in Garden City, AL she worked as a seamstress in a sewing factory in Blountsville. After retirement she spent most of her time traveling, quilting, and gardening. She won a talent contest in the sewing division with one of her quilts, that was sponsored by the Church of God headquarters in Cleveland, TN. She loved tending to her flower beds all around her house. She would spend hours looking through magazines for more flowers to plant.
The family would like to thank the Folsom Center and their employees for the outstanding care their mother received during the 3 years she was a resident there. Also, would like to thank Southern Hospice Care for taking care of her for the last 3 weeks.
