Dorothy Mae Reese Reezer was born November 7, 1935, to Annie L. Dillard-Reese and Joseph Reese, Sr. Dorothy confessed Christ at an early age and joined Ebenezer Baptist Church of Birmingham, Alabama under Pastor Thomas Thornes. Dorothy was educated in the Birmingham School System, graduating from Wenonah High School. Dorothy was known for her feisty ways but always showed so much love by way of taking you in or cooking one of her home cooked meals or cakes. Those who knew her affectionately knew her as “Mother” or “Mula”. Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Lee Reese; father, Joseph Reese, Sr.; sisters, Mamie and Melissa; brothers, Robert, John, Joseph, Jr., Samuel and Walter; son-in-law, Joseph Null; and grandson, Javon Reezer. She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Karen Reezer, Dwain Reezer (Mary), Derrick Reezer, Sr., Valerie Null and Micah Reezer (Alicia); brothers, Albert Reese (Amanda) and Rodney Reese (Sharon); her grandchildren, Nakia Coleman (Michael), Darius Reezer, Erica Null, Jamahn Reezer (Ashley), Dwan Reezer, Jamise French (Kelvin), Tevin Reezer, Ashley Lee (Chris), Treena Reezer, Derrickia Carter (Terrance), Derrick Reezer, Jr., all of Birmingham; and a host of great grandchildren, other family and friends.
