Dicie (Thomas) Jones

Dicie Jones went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2025 at age 89.  She is survived by her sons, Donald Jones (Patricia) and Kenneth Jones (Karen); grandchildren, Brad Jones (Brook) and Kelsey Jones; great grandchildren, Devin, Dalton, Grayson, Jayden, Beau, Londyn, Leyah, and D.J.; and other extended family and friends.  Dicie worked for St. Regis/Union Camp Paper Company for many years and after their closure, she began cleaning houses and worked until her retirement.  She was a member of North Gardendale Baptist Church.  Dicie loved going to yard sales and baking both of which she incorporated into her favorite activity of serving others.  She often picked up others to take them on her yard sale trips and almost anytime you called her, she was baking something to share with someone.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. and a funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m.  Dicie will be laid to rest in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Blountsville, AL.  There will be no graveside service.
