Dennis Chapman

Dennis Chapman, age 84, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022.  He was a great dad, grandfather, brother, and uncle.  His family loved him very much.  He is survived by two daughters and two sons, Susie Williams (Lindsey), Evonne McClung (Dale), Bobby Chapman, and Billy Chapman (Lisa); grandson, Dennis “Den Den” Phillips and granddaughter, Rachel Thomas; one sister, Margie Payton; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Sybil Chapman; parents, Rector and Clara Chapman; siblings, Dorothy Moore, Gene Chapman, Billy Chapman, and Frankie Chapman; and his brother-in-law, Bill Payton.  Dennis worked at Red Rock and Berry & Gilbert Realty for over 60 years.  Visitation will be Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Miracle League of Gardendale.
