David Michael Huff

David Michael Huff, age 64, passed away on April 1, 2025, at his residence. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty June (Betsy) Beall Huff, his mother, Audrey Faye Huff, and his father, Howard Eugene Huff.

David is survived by his sons, David Colson Huff, II and Samuel James Huff and his daughter, Grace Isabelle Huff. He is also survived by sisters Janice Huff Waltz (David) and Sandra Jean Huff, several caring nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Loki, and cat, Willow.

A proud graduate of Jacksonville State University and a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity, David had a knack for bringing people together. His love for nature led him to co-found the cherished Red Mountain Garden Society. Whether he was watching a game, tending to his garden, or blasting Led Zeppelin at full volume, David embraced life with enthusiasm and a sharp-witted humor that kept those around him laughing. His warmth, kindness, and adventurous spirit will be missed beyond words.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on April 12, 2025 at 1:00 pm. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at David's home directly following the service.  Address will be provided at the conclusion of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Aveanna Hospice and The American Cancer Society.
