Danny Ray Stamps

Danny Ray Stamps, age 68 of Pinson, passed away on Friday December 27, 2019 with his wife by his side.  He was born August 7, 1951 in Cedartown Georgia to the late Eual Stamps and Margaret Mefford.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warner and Ida Cash; brother, Wayne Stamps and by a special sister-in-law, Evelyn Stamps.  He was a dispatcher for Ross Neely Trucking for 50 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rena Stamps; brother, Larry Stamps (Geri); sister, Lisa Stamps; a host of nieces and nephews and by his special companion, his dog Molly.

Celebration of Life will be held on Monday December 30, 2019 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Monday.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to his doctors and nurses at St. Vincent’s Birmingham for being so helpful.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society at gbhs.org/donate.  Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
