Daniel Garth "Ki" Zimmerman, 
July 5th, 1956 - November 5th, 2019
 Daniel Garth Zimmerman of Birmingham Alabama, Passed away into greater places, on November 5th, 2019.
 Dan was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rhonda Helms Zimmerman, His parents, Daniel Vedder Zimmerman, And Dorothy Ragsdale Zimmerman. 
Dan is survived by his children,  Anthoney  (Sara) Zimmerman, Daniel Joseph "Joey" Zimmerman, Daughter, Callie Elizabeth Zimmerman, One granddaughter Emma J Zimmerman. In addition, His Sisters, Danielle Zimmerman, And Sue (Ron) Knapp, And much loved Niece, Dorothy (Bill) White,
 And several friends and coworkers from U.S Steel,  Fairfield Works.
 Dan was a lifelong resident of Birmingham,
 And in the footsteps of his family, Started his 35+ year career at U.S Steel, At the Blast Furnaces in Ensley, To the Slab and Rounds Casters in Fairfield, Where he Retired. 
 Dan was continuously fascinated in the industrial and manufacturing industry of Birmingham past, And was incredibly wise to the steelmaking process locally,  Both past and present.  
  Dan was an avid collector of books, And we believe was one of the only people on the street to still receive the Birmingham News in print form.
 Dan carried a terrific life with his family and friends, And absolutely did anything and everything possible for his family. 
 We will remember him by his lifelong smile, And the many fun times and stories he spoke of and was often the root of, And most importantly his love and dedication to all of us.
