Dana Self Nicholas

Dana Self Nicholas passed away tragically on June 25, 2021 at age 56.  She is survived by her daughter, Ashley (Chris) Chandler; grandchildren, Hunter, Catcher, and Asher Chandler; siblings, Perri (Wendi) Self, Nicky (Dale “Wildman”) Wood, and Dan Self; and many nephews and a host of extended family.  Dana was preceded in death by her sons, Greg and Adam Hayes and her parents, Don and Nancy Self.  After the tragic death of her sons which she referred to as “the angels came to get them”, Ashley was born and was her “angel baby”.  She was in contact with Ashley and her grandsons every day and time spent with them was her favorite.  Words cannot express the impact she had on their lives.  Dana was a loving person who truly cared for those around her.  She will be missed by all who knew her but especially her family.  A visitation will be at Walker Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
