Charles Herbert Lucas

Charles H. Lucas passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 surrounded by family.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Lucas; three grandsons, Coley, Davey, and Joshua; son-in-law, Jeffrey McColeman; his parents, Herbert and Ruth Lucas; three sisters, and two brothers.  He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Graham (Chris), Kristi Knight (Larry), Debby McColeman and Amy Kristt; thirteen grandchildren, Cody, Tressa, Cynthia, Leslie, Lindsey, Karaline, Crislyn, Austin, Grace, Lucas, Anne, Catie and Elizabeth; fourteen great grandchildren, Desi, Mazey, Adah, Madelyn, Bella, Camden, Nevaeh, Evie, Kooper, Mackenzie, Jackie, Kerry, Abigail, and Addie; one brother, Jimmy Lucas; one sister, Ann Elliot; life partner in love, Jeanette Estes; bonus son, Wade Hagood; and extended family and close friends.  Charles retired from the city of Fultondale and was a member of the Grand Old Gospel House.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m.  in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Walker Chapel.
