Bobbie Sue Perkins

Bobbie Sue Perkins was born at home to Robbie Faye and Carnis Clay Perkins on March 4, 1947 in Vernon, Alabama. It was her great pleasure to teach many students during her career as an elementary Christian school teacher and she remained a wonderful example to all who looked up to her for the whole of her life. She also worked at Alabama Title Company for over twenty years. Her quirky sense of humor and laughter will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her well…truly a life well lived. She transitioned from this life into joy unspeakable on March 31, 2025. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, as well as her brother, Ronnie Perkins, her niece, Brandy Lucas, and nephew Alex Hicks.  A most dedicated mother and grandmother, she is survived by her daughters, Lori King and Lisa Goodson (John), and a host of adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren, including one who will be named after her, due in June. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren are Emily and Aaron Stephens, CJ and Shelby Sanderson, Ava Horsley, Tyler Goodson (Carolina), Henry Jake and Ellie Kate Goodson, Shawn Goodson (Kaitlyn), Elias Goodson, Ayden Goodson and Bobbie Kate Price. She is also survived by her younger siblings, Sonya Hicks and Edward Perkins, her nieces and nephews, Kelly Murph, Connie Sandlin, Jena Cramblitt, David Hicks, Zac Hicks, Lexi Hicks, Landon Martin, Christian Perkins and Madi Perkins and many grand nieces and nephews.  She will be in our hearts always.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  She will be buried in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
