Billy Wade Payton

Billy W. Payton passed away on April 16 , 2022 at age 86. He is survived by his wife, Margie Payton; daughters, Melanie Payton Armstrong (Randy), Roxanne Turner, and Annette Griffith (Randy); grandchildren, Benjamin Plemons (Nikki), Tyler Turner (Sarah), Tabitha James (Kyle), Teran Turner, and Zachary Griffith (Kelsey); great grandchildren, Owen Plemons, Destiny Turner, Serenity Turner, and Gabriel Turner; brother, James Payton (Wanda); and sister, Gulma Nell Hudson (Kenneth).  Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Daisy Payton and one brother, Charles Payton.  He worked at St. Regis  Paper and retired from Associated Grocers.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Tarrant, AL.  Billy was a good husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his family.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Burial will be in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.
