Ben Elam Sisson

Mr. Ben Elam Sisson, age 80, formerly of Gardendale, AL and a current resident of Wilsonville, AL passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018 at a local hospital.  Mr. Sisson was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mildred Sisson; his beloved wife of 46 years, Sue Sisson; brothers, Jerry Sisson, Tommy Sisson, Brooks Sisson and John Sisson; sister, Mildred Lyons.  Survivors include is his 3 sons:  Stephen Harris (Tina) of Birmingham, AL, Barry Sisson (Wendy) of Wilsonville, AL and Scott Harris (Lisa) of Dora, AL; grandchildren, Scott Harris, Jr., Linzey Whitlow, Colby Sisson, Heather Green, Brett Jowers and Jeremy Ellison; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Francis Rhea of Mt. Olive, AL and brother, J.R. Sisson of Sevierville, TN.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 beginning at 11:00AM in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home.  Visitation will be one hour prior to service.  Burial will follow in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.  Walker Chapel Funeral Home directing.
