Armeda Joan (Gurley) Stephens

Armeda Joan Gurley Stephens, 86, of Mount Olive, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 23, 2023.  She was a retired Registered Nurse.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Grace; father, Clyde; and sister, Coreen.  She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Gordon Stephens; five children, Lewis (Cindy), Frank, Debbie, Grace Ann and Josey; brother, Jerry; as well as nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  Joan was loved and will be missed by all that knew her.  There will be a memorial service at Walker Chapel Funeral Home, Fultondale, AL on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with a celebration of life at her home in Mount Olive immediately after the service.
