Anita Louise Hooper went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at age 80. She is survived by two sons, Brian Hooper (Deanna) and Stephen Hooper; four grandchildren, Denton Hooper (Ashley), Robin Hooper, Preston Hooper, and Austin Hooper (Kendall); eleven great grandchildren, Landon, Bree, Willow, Elizah, Seth, Evan, Tyler, Conner, Autumn, Carter and Truett; one brother, Gaines Belcher; and nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends. Anita was preceded in death by husband, Robert D. Hooper; her parents, Woodrow and Dorothy Belcher; brothers, Woody Belcher; and sisters, Marion Huie and Patricia Sample. She retired from Carraway Hospital after many years of service. Anita was a member of Locust Fork Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her family dearly. She will be missed. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest in a private graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery.
