Anita J. Haynes, age 60 of Gardendale, passed away on Friday March 13, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Gladys Jackson and by a brother, Randy Jackson. She was a retired paramedic for Kimberly Fire and Rescue. Anita was an avid Alabama Fan (Roll Tide!).
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Les Haynes; daughter, Angela Mullaney (Bryan); son, Billy Haynes; grandchildren, Jeremy Simpson, Cheyenne Simpson, and Taylor Mullaney; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friend, Becky Phillips.
Services to celebrate the life of Anita will be held on Tuesday March 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Ken LeSueur officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday. She will be laid to rest at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Corner. Arrangements are by Walker Chapel Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 205-849-5000, Fultondale.
