Leath Miller "Bug" Jennings, Jr. Obituary (2020)

Leath M. "Bug" Jennings, Jr., age 56 of Birmingham (Robinwood Community), passed away on Friday December 18, 2020. He attended Ashville Church of God. He served with the City of Tarrant as Assistant Director of Public Works. He worked for the City of Tarrant for 27 years. Bug never met a stranger and would give anyone in need a helping hand. He loved Alabama Football, ROLL TIDE! Bug was Superman to his soulmate of 27 years, Melanie Jennings. In addition to his loving wife he is survived by his sons of whom he was very proud of, John Jennings (Whitney) and Ethan Jennings (Nyilah "NeeNee"); the apple of his eye, granddaughter, Olivia Rose; brothers and sisters, Virginia Morgan, David Jennings, Cathy King, Sharon Barnett (Sammy), and James Jennings. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday December 21, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Ashley officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m . prior to the service. In accordance to Bug's wishes cremation will follow the service.
